I Left Japan the summer of 64.  My father retired out of the Navy that same summer, we returned to East Texas, returned for him..it was new to the rest of us.  I went to a small East Texas JR college, Henderson County Jr College, for 2 years.  My family moved to Arlington TX, so I transfered to Arlington State where I Majored in Math, Chemistry, Beer, Girls, 42, Bridge...Was asked to not return the next semester..my senior year....3 days later I had this strange letter from a strange place.  Not wanting to open this letter I went to Dallas enlisted in the Navy called my dad told him my car was parked at Love Field and I would be home after Boot Camp.  Chose to ride Nuclear Submarines, got married, checked on the Boat and found Steve Swigart.  Had 2 kids , a boy and a girl.  Got out of the Navy after 6 years and finished my Education at Texas A&M, undergrad in Biomed, and a Masters in Animal Science.  Worked around on ranches, got a Reputation, did some consultant work, worked on some ranches, GOT A GOVERNMENT JOB IN TOWN (the job every cowboy wants).

Retired out of the Post Office last year, now I just teach people how to ride Dirt Bikes and tour the US for good places to ride.
Still married to Diana, since 1968.  The Kids are doing great, I have 5 grand kids.  My son is the Gulf Coast Manager for B. Braun (Hospital equipment), Chris did 7 years in the Navy(had a military scholarship to Texas A&M), married and has 3 daughters.
Mandee, my daughter, got her undergrad in Japanese studies, she reads, writes and speaks Japanese on a level 9( one step below a native speaker).  Mandee is a customs broker, has her own company, and does business all over the world.  I have 1 grand daughter and a Grandson on that side of the family.

No complaints, no regrets, I have a great life.  There is no doubt being a Military Brat has enhanced my life, having grown up in so many places around such a diversified populace.  Making lifelong friends quickly.  But I am telling you what you already know.
