Mike Slattery is the dominant commercial real estate broker in the La Jolla Village submarket of
San Diego County. Over the span of his 30-year career, Mike has achieved unparalleled success
and has exclusively sold and leased more retail, office and mixed-use properties in the Village of
La Jolla than any person alive – past or present – totaling over $750 million. As a result of this
success, Mike is regularly sought out by landlords, tenants, investors, real estate appraisers,
lenders and City planners for his advice and expertise regarding upscale mixed-use properties.

As further evidence of Mike's dominance in the La Jolla Village marketplace, he was the only real
estate broker invited to attend the recent La Jolla Leaders Reception held on March 14th, 2012 at
the La Valencia Hotel. This prestigious event was hosted by the newly formed La Jolla Village
Merchants Association (“LJVMA”) and the La Jolla Valencia Hotel to introduce the new LJVMA
board members and announce their aggressive new programs to promote and enhance the
economic growth and development for businesses and property owners in La Jolla Village. This
prestigious event was attended by La Jolla's most prominent property owners, merchants,
business and community leaders, and governmental officials. The LJVMA has been designated
by the City of San Diego as the official governing body for the La Jolla Village Business
Improvement District (“B.I.D.”) to promote and enhance the economic growth of business activity
within the Village of La Jolla

Mike brings with him a wealth of specialized market knowledge and niche upscale retail
brokerage expertise working in the Village of La Jolla and surrounding coastal markets of San
Diego County. Because of Mike’s dual specialty in both retail and office leasing, he is uniquely
qualified to represent both landlords and tenants in handling any type of retail or mixed-use
property leasing or sales assignment. Due to the upscale nature and diverse ownerships
encountered in the coastal marketplace, Mike has gained valuable experience in representing a
wide variety of foreign and domestic business entities and ownership interests such as LLC’s,
partnerships, financial institutions, REIT’s and private family trusts.

Prior to his real estate career, Mike was employed by the Grand Ole Opry/WSM, Inc. in Nashville,
Tennessee, as the General Manager of the Grand Ole Opry House, the world’s largest live
broadcasting facility and home to the world famous Grand Ole Opry radio show. He is a former
U.S. Marine Corps officer and resides in North San Diego County with his wife and family
