After leaving Japan in 1964, I moved with my family to Fairfax, Virginia. I attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia and started my working career at the Naval Air Systems Command at the old Main Navy building on Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC.

In 1971, I was sharing an apartment with friends in Woodbridge, Virginia when I met my husband, Rich. Rich, a 1st Lt in the Marine Corp was just finishing three years in the Marines and was stationed in Quantico, VA. When Rich was discharged in 1972 we married and moved to the Philadelphia area, Rich's home, so he could attend Villanova University Law School. While Rich was in Law School we had our first child, Kevin, and I started my career as a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent, a job that I still maintain today.

I live in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, about 15 miles west of Philadelphia and have been married to Rich for 42 years. In addition to Kevin, now 42, who is married to Adriana and has 2 beautiful daughters, Christine 12 and Sophia, 8 and lives in Costa Rica; we have a daughter Ellen, 34 who is married and lives with her husband, Mike, in Roseville, California. On a trip last month to California to visit them, we learned they are expecting their first child in February 2015. We are very excited to be welcoming another grandchild into the family soon.

Rich and I still work fulltime, he as an attorney in private practice and me as an insurance agent at an Independent Insurance Agency in Rosemont near my home. We take several trips a year to visit family: the children and grand children, my sister, Nancy Cooper Grim (YOHI Class of 1967) in Myrtle Beach, SC and my dad, Tom Cooper, 94, retired Navy pilot, who lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with my sister, Hope. In fact, after the reunion Nancy, Rich and I will be spending a week with my dad at his home in Corpus Christi. We also spend a lot of time in Ocean City at the New Jersey shore, a short drive from our home.

I will be attending the reunion with, Rich and my sister, Nancy. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again.
